InteractiveCDC Wonder Data and document access from the Centers for Disease Control (mortality and some morbidity). The Compressed Mortality database contains mortality and population counts for all U.S. counties for the years 1979 to 1996. Counts and rates of death can be obtained by cause of death, state, county, age, race, sex, and year.
InteractiveWISQARS™ National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, CDC, Atlanta, GA has an interactive data retrieval system for injury mortality data in the United States called WISQARS™ (Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System).

International
QISU Queensland Injury Surveillance Unit (QISU) collects injury data from hospital emergency departments on behalf of Queensland Health with the support of the Mater Health Services Brisbane.

NHTSA Crash Investigations Special link to multiple sources of federal level crash datasets from the National Automotive Sampling System (NASS) including the Crashworthiness Data system (CDS) and NASS General Estimates System (GES).
InteractiveThe Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) (NHTSA). The Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) contains data on all crashes in the United States (available by state) that occur on a public roadway and where a fatality is involved in the crash. Through this web interface FARS data is searchable and downloadable. This site also provides links to frequent user-specified queries, FARS documentation, the annual Traffic Safety Factbook, and an On-Line Forum.
InteractiveFatal Analysis Reporting System Database The Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) contains data on all vehicle crashes in the United States that occur on a public roadway and involve a fatality. This FARS Query System provides interactive public access to fatality data through this web interface. The system also has GIS capabilities.
InteractiveCARE Home Page CARE is an on-line data analysis and reporting system designed to assist traffic safety professionals in developing more effective traffic accident countermeasures. Selected states and National FARS data can be queried.

It includes 25 high-precision individual-level samples of U. S. censuses from 1850 to 1990. The IPUMS combines these samples (which were generally coded and documented differently) into a single database that assigns uniform codes to variables across all years for which they are available.

InteractivePanel Study of Income Dynamics The PSID is a longitudinal survey of a representative sample of US individuals and families. It has been ongoing since 1968. The data are collected annually, and the data files contain the full span of information collected over the course of the study. No aggregate injury data yet.
Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) With HCUPnet you have easy access to national statistics about hospital stays. HCUPnet guides you step-by-step to obtain the statistics you need. HCUPnet generates statistics using the 1996 data from the Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS). HCUPnet is part of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) of the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR).

Online Electronic Data Collection Systems

Accident Report.org. Online study of crashes and near-misses. The National Study Center for Trauma and EMS at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is asking licensed drivers to join an online study that will shed light on the risks of a motor vehicle accident. The study focuses on a wide range of human factors that may prevent our ability to avoid an imminent collision.
