Phone Netphone (NetMeeting) Help

In order for the NetMeeting phone link to work with your Netscape browser, it must be set up to work with NetMeeting as a helper application. Please follow the following steps to do (assuming you have already installed Net Meeting). Note: if you have Microsoft's Internet explorer, these steps are not necessary as NetMeeting is automatically installed as a helper application.

  1. From the Netscape Navigator main menu, go to OPTIONS/GENERAL PREFERENCES.
  2. Pick the HELPERS tab.
  3. Press the "Create New Type" button.
  4. In the dialog box enter text for the mime type and iuls for the subtype.
  5. For the action choose "Launch the Application".
  6. Type rundll32.exe msconf.dll,NewMediaPhone in the Launch application dialog box.
  7. Press OK to complete the setup.
  8. Now try the phone link above or on the previous page.

Good luck!
